2kool4skool review and giveaway!

· January 17, 2013

This competition is now over. Thank you to all that entered. The winner is Bettina S! Congratulations!!

I left Perth for the UK in 2002.. I arrived back in 2009. I had no idea that the school system had changed, and that my daughter born in August 2009 would be starting school in 2014 and graduating the year she turns 18 instead of 17. Western Australia changed the schooling system sometime between 2002 and 2009 and it has completely ruffled my plans to have her in school this year – at my old primary school!

However this also hasn’t stopped me going back to school! Nor has it stopped me from helping her learn things that she will be learning next year. Yes I did just mentioned myself going back to school. Well online schooling… a few short courses. I have been out of the workforce for 4 years now and I feel my skills (although fabulous in the UK) are not so fabulous in Perth. So I decided to up my career chances when I do decide to go back to work and earn mega bucks enough spare cash to buy more bento items!

One of my new year resolution this year is to sit with MissC every day and do a school type activity, whether it to be drawing, learning letters and numbers, reading or cooking. There are so many things we can do together, and I really want to make the time and effort while MasterS has his nap, to spend more quality time with her.

Last week, thanks to Blogs and PR, I received a knock at my door, and my postman (who always chuckles at the kids waving like crazy, through the window thinking he is Postman Pat) handed me this bright coloured package and said that whatever is inside must be magical. The package was from 2kool4skool - a new online stationary store!

And it was! School supplies for myself MissC! Ok so there was alot more than I expected.. wow.. there really is alot of fabulous products in this package.

First I would like to mention that the Pens, Texta’s, Ruler and School Labels were all smelly.. as in they smelled of strawberries, watermelon, chocolate and popcorn (yup popcorn!!)

The little pink monkey? Which was MissC’s favourite… is a USB! Thats right.. perfect for my course work! If I ever get it back off MissC – see video below.

I decided to phone my sister, and asked if my nephews would like to come around and pick out some items for their school supplies.

They were in paradise!! Smelly PENS!!! They loved it! My sister was impressed with the book covers – no more contact!! Scratch and sniff labels were my sister’s favourite – she said she hasn’t been able to find cool labels in the newsagency!

MissC proceeded to “borrow” my notebook/book cover and the cool crayons she received (that never need sharpening because when it goes blunt you just unwrap the paper around the top to expose more crayon!) and did some drawing, before tucking the crayons into the book cover pocket.. reminding me that I use to do a similar thing when I was at school (so my sisters wouldn’t steal my lucky pens out of my pencil case.. I had them hidden in my books!!)
